i-dle 8th Mini Album [We are]

Following the renewal of all members’ contracts, i-dle returns with their 8th mini album [We are].

The album transforms the “I” that began with their debut album [I am] into “We,” capturing the story of the members who have walked together through the years. While continuing the group’s distinctive musical identity, [We are] also marks a new beginning and reflects their determination to move forward together.

For the first time since debut, all members participated in writing and composing, giving the album an even deeper meaning of “we.” Each track highlights the unique musical style and individuality of the members.

The title track “Good Thing” stands out with Soyeon’s cool and confident lyrics, retro-inspired instrumentation, and playful 8-bit sounds.

“Girlfriend” delivers a refreshing and witty message of comfort to a friend after a breakup, combining rhythmic drums, guitar sounds, and the members’ distinctive vocals.

“Love Tease,” written by Yuqi, introduces a disco-inspired sound that i-dle had not previously explored. Its dynamic bass, rhythmic drums, vintage analog textures, and Yuqi’s melodic topline create a stylish and modern atmosphere.

“Chain,” written by Minnie, features her signature dreamy mood, direct lyrics, and a variety of sounds that express i-dle’s evolution as they enter a new chapter.

“Unstoppable,” Miyeon’s first self-written song included on a full-group album, is a groovy and jazzy medium-tempo R&B pop track. Warm brass, smooth vocals, and emotional lyrics create an immersive listening experience.

The final track, “그래도 돼요,” is a ballad featuring Shuhua’s first-ever participation in songwriting since debut. The song gently reflects her delicate and warm emotions.

Through bold experimentation and unpredictable expression, [We are] presents i-dle as artists breaking away from familiar boundaries and stepping into a new chapter together.
